OOTD: SAVILLE BLUE

Having previously commended the weather for giving us blue skies, white clouds and a warmer temperature, this week was absolutely dreadful with pouring showers and dim, sombre clouds. Luckily, today it was sunny enough outside to take a couple of photographs before I headed over to Jessops to invest in a better and new camera! This outfit is simple, warm and a slightly different take on the monochrome trend...

My jacket from Maje is a very simple thigh-length jacket with beautiful leather contrast detailing and an off-center zip which gives it a bit more individualism. The beautiful cobalt blue colour was a must-have this year, striking in its own right without being too 'in-your-face'. I finished off with a pair of ribbed knit leggings in a very soft grey to balance the vibrant blue.

I added a bit of yellow to my entire outfit as a complementary to the blue with these translucent oversized sunnies from Philip Lim 3.1. Gorgeous frame and beautiful gradient lens, perfect for sunny weather and when you don't want to pack on too much eye makeup!

I added a different shade of blue, playing with various textures such as suede and calfskin leather with my Céline trapeze bag. The architectural structure of this bag gives the outfit a bit of definition and the popularity of the bag needs no justification :P

Lastly, I added one last texture to the outfit with these python booties from Christian Louboutin. The heel is low enough that it makes them comfortable to walk-in, yet elongates the legs with the beautiful reflective surface and acute shape. Perfect not only for winter but still wearable for the transition between Fall to Spring.

I hope you enjoyed these photographs and thank you so much for reading. I can't wait to use my new camera to get better outfit shots!

Hope you all had an amazing weekend! Be sure to check out my latest beauty video where I talk about beauty products that I have repurchased again and again!

TRAVELS: IN LOVE WITH VENEZIA

Dress: Topshop
Belt: Fendi
Bag: Balenciaga

Over a year ago in hot early August, I went to Venice with my boyfriend and we only recently discovered our photos in the camera - untouched and un-imported.
It's weird seeing myself in these photos and how I've forgotten what a beautiful place Venice was. I guess all we ever remembered were the exhaustion from all that walking, the blazing heat and constantly getting lost which resulted in even more walking. Some people are programmed to always remember the hardship, pain and suffering and to forget about the positivity and beauty in life.

Dress: Zara

Sunnies: Chanel

We met some new friends on our trip.

Flats: Repetto

Top & Skirt: Topshop

A lot has happened over the past year and I think some things happen just to act as a constant reminder/wakeup call that nothing comes easy. We take too much for granted and I thank God every single morning when I open my eyes as I am alive, healthy. I learned to be thankful for everything that I have: a roof to protect me, food to relieve my hunger, an education that leads to a future and family members who love and support me.

OOTD: TOP HEAVY

I am back with an outfit post with (fingers crossed) MUCH better quality photos than previously. I persuaded the BF to help out with taking some photographs and especially in this sunny weather in London! It's still a little chilly so I decided to go top heavy with a Dolman sleeved 'jacket' with a faux fur collar, and went simple on the bottoms with a pair of skinnies and a pair of slimming boots.

On a more serious note, my heart still feels deeply saddened by the loss of Sita Chan. A beautiful and talented singer who, although I have not met in person, her beautiful voice has always been embedded in my mind.

She had a bright future ahead of her and a tragic car accident took her and her angelic voice away from this world. Rest in peace, Sita. You are one of a kind and will be sorely missed.

I went for a sophisticated chic look today with a mint shirt with a contrasting button stand and collar from Zara. This shirt is slightly out of shape, but there's something about a crepe shirt and concealed button plackets that I simply cannot resist. It's a great transition piece into Spring/Summer and to give it a nice contrast, I synched the waist with a complementary color - red. The red skinny belt has a slight peekaboo affect and also matches the bold red of my bag.

Lastly I added a very subtle necklace which has hints of blue that compliments the blue jeans I wore.

Shirt: Zara
Belt: ASOS
Jeans: Abercrombie & Fitch
Necklace: F21
Jacket: Zara
Faux  Fur Collar: Korea
Sunnies: Topshop

I hope you enjoyed these photos and the outfit! Thank you so much for reading!

OOTD & Fine Dining: Beige Metallic

So it was my mother's birthday dinner (her birthday isn't until next week but I will be leaving before then) and as a tradition we've always went to nice restaurants for special occasions like these. This year we went to Caprice at the Four Seasons Hotel in Hong Kong, and I have to say the food was delicious. Although it still does not beat my favorite restaurant, I very much enjoyed the dinner. The atmosphere was very casual and the seats were extremely comfortable with long velvety sofas and dimmed lights.

OOTD: Louboutins, Volume & Paws

So many of you probably know that I am a huge dog lover. So I thought I would do more OOTDs with my dogs to showcase the beauty of not only the fashion items but the beauty of pets. Dogs are so loyal and loving, and I don't know where I'd be if I did not have my pets by my side to get through the hard and wonderful times.

Today was a very chilled day - having lunch with my grandparents at the Shangri-la and a very quick shopping spree in Tsim Sha Tsui for some essential skincare.

I was so excited to wear this top that I recently got from Seoul. The fabric is super silky and smooth - slightly like a thicker silk crepe. The beauty of it is the finishing - it has raw edges all round and still manages to have a clean cut. I also love the trapeze shape it has, and I paired it with a pair of shorts to create a little more volume, slimming it back down for the lower body with a pair of plain black tights.
The top also sports the two-tone trend by blocking beige with a neony coral. I matched it with a Celine two-tone wallet which has similar colors.

Who can resist red soles? I know I can't - these are the newest addition to my shoe collection.

With the beautiful teacup pomeranian, Yuki. She was born in the States and flew all the way to Hong Kong on her own (someone obviously put her on the flight :P )

Fitch is a slightly obese chihuahua (he is currently on a diet) and we got him one Christmas night about 5 years ago. Chihuahuas are extremely affectionate and very noisy, but super adorable and are great companions.

Top: Boutique in Gargou-sil, Seoul
Black tank top: Topshop
Shorts: Zara
Wallet: Céline
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Tights: Topshop

I do apologize for the very few photos in this post - we had real trouble getting great lighting since it is still raining like crazy in Hong Kong, either that or it has been very gloomy. The photos aren't particularly good in terms of quality, but I really wanted to record my OOTD, especially the items I got from Korea. I feel like I haven't seen sun in Hong Kong in ages since I missed the sunny weather whilst I was in Seoul. C'mon sun! Why you hiding?!

Thank you so much for reading - I hope you all are doing well!

B'S SKINCARE ROUTINE

This one is another beauty post, but the next one will be fashion-related... I promise! So I have changed my skincare routine (in case those of you have watched my Skincare Routine video previously) and I have been a little more daring in terms of choosing skincare products.
Side note, I have been on and off on YouTube recently simply because I just can't physically fit filming and editing into my hectic schedule - I also prefer to film good quality videos and as the old sayin' goes - 'quality rather than quantity' right? Blogging is slightly less time consuming although I do try to maintain the quality of my blog posts.

BETHNI'S MARCH FAVORITES!

I am aware that it is slightly late for March Favorites but I assumed that it was better late than never as I skipped February Favorites on my YouTube channel. It is pouring outside again and I am so mad at the weather because I was hoping to do some more OOTDs outside - where is the sun!
Anyway, here are my March favorites, most of them are beauty-related and I don't really have a lot of March favorites here with me in HK as I don't usually bring everything back and forth. Here are just a few things that I have brought back with me, showing how much I like these products!

First off, a beauty-unrelated product is the Hermès enamel bangle that I got for my birthday from my boyfriend. Although it hasn't really been sunny here in HK, this has just paired nicely with a lot of my outfits and just brightened the entire outfit. It's simple design just makes the outfit look effortless but styled.

This serum based foundation is on the pricey side, but it is so worth it! I told myself I did not need a new foundation as I had my Dior Nude foundation and my holy grail Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation, but I tested this foundation at three different counters (yes! Three!) and decided I had to have my hands on it. I'm very frugal when it comes to using this foundation since it came with a high price tag, but this feels like heaven on my skin. The serum has anti-aging substances and helps provide elasticity to the skin as well as radiance, and not to mention the velvety silk texture which walking woman can resist.

O.P.I Nail Lacquer - Mermaids Tears (NL P18)

Next are the two most worn nail polishes of the month. Both are quite spring/summer colours but with a slightly darker-than-pastel tone which makes it perfect for the transition into spring. Much as I dislike the brushes of both brands of nail polishes, the colors and formula make up for it.

I am in LOVE with this stuff! My hair has always been tangly and I've used my friend's quick tip by leaving conditioner in (and it does the trick) but I've been trying to find an even quicker way to brush out my tangles and condition my hair and this does wonders! It smells really nice, and I found that it is a dupe for the Kerastase Oleo-Relax Nutritive Serum. Pretty much does the same thing at such a lower price!

I've tried out the Stone Crop samples from Eminence and love their organic products - I've found that their stone crop line really helps relieve sensitivity although the smell does take a little getting used to. My best friend gave me a birthday box of beauty products in it and this is one of my favorite products in there. I use it as a toner so it calms my skin before I go through my skincare routine. I have seen a slight difference as it helps with my skin's sensitivity and dryness.

This has been my most most-used lipstick recently. The Dior Addict Extreme lipsticks are a little more pigmented, where the original Dior Addict lipsticks are a sheerer. However I've been loving this gorgeous color which is between a bold red and a bright pink. Because I have pale skin, a bold lipstick is just what I need to make me look awake.

This is the only blush I brought back with me to HK and I feel like I haven't been using this blush enough. The colors when swirled together with a brush gives a very natural peachy glow, perfect for the days when I want to wear minimal makeup. The packaging makes it great for travel and it smells amazing!

I have incorporated this serum into my skincare routine since beginning of February, and have seen a huge reduction in pigmentation because of this product. The serum is quite strong, so I only use it at night. Although slightly on the pricey side, if you, like me, suffer from acne or allergy scarring, I would recommend asking for a sample of this at the Selfridges counter (or your local Dior counter - make sure they carry the DiorSnow line!) and try it out - see for yourself! :)

So that wraps up my March Favorites! What is your favorite new discovery in March?
