REVIEW: EMMA HARDIE AMAZING FACE MORINGA CLEANSING BALM

Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm
£34.00
I don't think I need to explain this purchase of mine from a few months back. This cleansing balm has taken the beauty blogging world by storm and has been hyped by most if not all, of my favorite skincare and beauty bloggers including Caroline Hirons and EssieButton to name a few.
After having finally used up my first jar, I decided it was time to review this beautiful essential (needless to say, it's going to be a positive one).

This is one of the very few cleansing products that I have actually finished until the very last drop (others include the Sisley Lyslait Cleansing Milk with White Lily and the Bioderma Sensibio Micellair Water)

FRAGRANCE

The balm smells very natural and fresh. I love that it does not seem heavily fragranced, nor does it smell like it's made of nothing but chemical ingredients. It's a very refreshing and nourishing scent, so that ticks the 'fragrance' box.

CONSISTENCY & TEXTURE

It doesn't have a thick consistency, yet it still manages to feel very hydrating. I love using this to massage my face after a long day as it relaxes the senses and at the same time, gets rid of the makeup and grime.

CLEANLINESS

As I previously mentioned, the cleansing balm does an excellent job of removing makeup. However, for further peace of mind, I double cleanse to make sure there is no makeup residue left (particularly around the eye area).
SKIN TYPES

I have dry, sensitive skin with an oily T-zone. This product has not broken me out, has not aggravated my sensitive patches, and has proved to be very moisturizing. It does make the skin slightly oily in the evening, which is not a bad thing. I highly recommend it for evening use only, particularly if you have oily skin.
I have recommended this product to a friend with oily skin and she LOVES it.
USAGE
For the past 3.5 months, I have been using this with either the Emma Hardie Face Cloths or the Primark flannels, both of which do a great job in cleansing and gently exfoliating the face, leaving the skin look radiant and glowing.

Now on to the only fault - the packaging. I hear that Emma Hardie has completely repackaged the Cleansing Balm, so this may be a slightly outdated review in terms of packaging, yet I cannot help but express my anger at how worn my jar of cleansing balm has become.

As you can see the jar on the left is what's left of what used to be the Cleansing Balm, whereas the one on the right is a backup purchase I did a few weeks back. The glass lid is completely gone (cracked - to pieces, I might add), with eroding paint which gets on my hands and face constantly
My jar cracked in my suitcase on the plane ride home from London, which at the time, I had not even started using this yet! One crack will lead to more and more cracks and alas, your lid is forever gone.

Let's hope that Emma Hardie brings it with the new packaging, if so, I would say this is a truly fabulous product with hardly any faults.
