TOO FACED HAUL, SWATCHES & FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Although I don't own a variety of things from Too Faced (I've only have their eyeshadow palettes and their Shadow Insurance), I hopped on over to their site during their 20% off sale to get a hold of some new goodies because, let's face it - their packaging is incredibly tricky to resist.

The first thing I put in my Shopping Cart was he Natural Eyes palette, which I've wanted to get a hold on for a while but could never justify it. As you guys know, I am a huge eyeshadow palette junkie and it's one of my favorite things to collect (nail polish, blushes and lipsticks aside *ahem*). I do have the Natural Eye palette which is more of has cooler-toned shades, but this palette had all my favorite shades with pinky tones and warm-toned browns that are great for everyday wear. Plus, the packaging was just (oh-my-gerd) beautiful

The shades are totally up my street with a mixture of mattes and shimmers - all so pigmented and smooth that it glides on the eyelids and blends like a dream. My favorite shades have to be Silk Teddy, Push-Up and Honey Pot. In the evening I then tend to smoke it out with Chocolate Martini or Erotica. I will never be able to justify this purchase, but I'm so glad I did it - it is so pretty to look at plus very practical too!

I also love the new tin packaging, as opposed to the old cardboard packaging. The tin definitely makes it look and feel more luxurious.

I then stumbled across this palette which I was hesitant about but decided to add it to my cart anyway (you know what sales can do to you?). It is the 'The Secret to No Makeup Makeup' palette which is essentially a face palette and includes a Bronzing Veil, a cream blush, a powder blush, a concealer and an additional two highlighters. All the products are pretty much a cream formula apart from the Bronzing Veil and the powder blush.

Initially I didn't expect much from the Bronzing Veil. In the palette and when swatched it looked way too light to be a contour powder - which is something I use in my everyday routine instead of bronzer. But turns out when applied lightly on the skin it warms up the face like no other powder. It looks so natural and glowy, immediately adding a healthy glow to my face.
The cream blush has to be my favorite - it blends beautifully on the skin and the shade is a the perfect rosy pink. The powder blush is a bit too barbie-ish for my liking, but I'm glad there's an extra option in there. Would have liked it more if it were an orange-toned blush.
Although the concealer is a bit darker than my normal skin tone, it'll probably come in handy during the Summer time. Plus, it gives excellent natural coverage and the consistency is just irresistibly creamy. Wish I could use this other than the Summer though!
Last but not least there is a Luminizer and a Brightener - one is a bit more dewy and the other is a matte finish. Personally I love them both for different things and it depends on what look I'm going for. I love how versatile these two highlighters are - you can also use them as eyeshadow base or primer if you haven't got one handy on-the-go.

After browsing through the eyeshadow palettes section, I went on to add the Better Than Sex mascara to my cart because, really, who wouldn't buy this? After all the hype that's been revolving around it, I had high hopes for it and thankfully, it did not disappoint. Although I'm usually a fan of slimmer wands for my sparse lashes, I was surprised by how well this enhanced my lashes.

Before and after

It immediately lengthens like no other mascara, plus adds a bit of volume albeit slightly clumpy. I love how it gives me that dolly, wide-eyed look and instantly lifts my eyes. Another great thing about it is that it isn't a nightmare to remove which is something I greatly appreciate.

Last but not least I also picked up one of their lipsticks as I had never tried them previously. I got the La Crème Lipstick in Teddy Berry.

Initially expecting a berry color, I was pleasantly surprised that it turned out to be a sheerer formula, yet creamy and hydrating that it is smooth and easy to apply. I absolutely love the finish and the shade - instantly waking me up and giving me a 'My Lips But Better' color (overused, I know, but true). This is definitely a lipstick I will go back to for other shades as the formula is just on point!

So that's it for my haul and first impressions. What are your Too Faced favorites? Are there any of these that tickle your fancy?
